1988
first reported duty as Engineer at private sector (PLUS BHD) after resigned from JKR (Cawangan Rekabentuk).Located at Bangunan Syed Kechik in Bangsar next to MHA Old office,DI was the HOD of HMD arrogant young chiku formerly from Peremba (DHS was there also).for a matter of fact I was the last 'Magnificent 7 Engineers' and the rest all gone (HH,SS,ART,KA,KZ & CTK)together with Highway Maintenance Dept. A bulk of staff had been transfered out to Outsourced sister company namely NMM/Opus. The exercise was initiated by Mr. President of Highway Unit of Renong Bhd...namely Dr.??. Initially at HMD, we worked as a solid team under purview of Frenchman...(Mr. Shah..). HH and I had a task to complete .i.e Routine Maintenance Procedure and Bill of Q as well as Heavy Maintenance Procedure. We had learned a lot from him even I had differ in opinions (ARA was trained by British U) and till to date all the routine maintenance aspect of it still in my head...forever and ever...that the legacy.I dont think many people will remember that Dept except a few people namely MZA,Hjh N,As and Jo. During the era of DIM till todate many people (SMs,RMs,GM)forgot about SI..site Instruction that determined non performance of Propel.Nostalgia or legacy is up to you to determined it.. As far as the HMD being sold to NMM as I remembered, ARA (I la tu)really objected it during 1 meeting with the basis of PLUS will lost the credibility as far as maintenance is concern...finally ARA sejuk sesejuk embun pagi dan sejuk sesejuk snow white... another Nostalgia and Legacy.
